Efficient building automation requires precise and reliable room data. thevios® provides this foundation – as multifunctional ceiling sensors for comfort, health and energy efficiency.

The devices measure all relevant parameters such as motion, luminosity, temperature, humidity, CO2, VOCs and particulate matter.

Central ceiling installations allow to detect changes in room climate to be detected early and reliably, so that other BMS peripheral devices can be controlled precisely and energy-efficiently.

This ensures a pleasant working and learning environment with consistently high air quality. The integrated LED traffic light function (thevios® 5) provides transparency about the indoor air quality at a glance.

With standardised communication via BACnet IP or RS485 Modbus, the sensors can be seamlessly integrated into existing infrastructures.

thevios® is a scalable solution – from individual rooms to complete sensor networks (theGRID).

As a stand-alone solution, the new thevios® 5 and thevios® 3 ceiling sensors enable convenient individual room monitoring. Depending on requirements, both devices can record up to seven different measurement parameters (depending on the type). Connection to the building management system can be made either via BACnet IP (thevios® 5) or RS485 Modbus (thevios® 3).


theGRID

The Thermokon GRID system (theGRID) enables thevios® HUB to be used as a central interface for building management systems. Up to eight satellites (thevios® SAT) can be connected via the thevios® HUB. This allows different rooms to be networked via a single access point and integrated into the building management system via a BACnet IP interface.

theGRID

ONE PLATFORM, ONE GALAXY.

theGRID connects multiple thevios multi sensors to form a modular system architecture.

Instead of individual stand-alone devices, a network is created – comparable to a galaxy – in which a central instance links the satellites to form an intelligent network.

The Satellites (thevios® SAT) take over the decentralised, reliable measurement of basic parameters across multiple rooms or zones. They can be integrated easily and cost-effectively via a two-wire BUS. This makes modern building automation quickly to be implemented in smaller projects or building retrofits.

The central HUB (thevios® HUB) gathers all decentral information collected and makes it available transparently and in a standardised form via BACnet IP. In addition to the HUB, it works as a fully-fledged multi sensor as well.
